Devious Journal Entry
I am in Hawaii. I come home in two days. Prepare for the storm of photos.
Tough Cam
Ok, so I want a camera to take with me when I go to Hawaii *I'm leaving in a little over a week*. I'm wanting a "tough" camera so that I can take it with me, whatever I'm doing -- even and especially in the water. I have been doing a bit of research on this. What's funny is that what started my search was the Nikon AW100. I saw it in some sports magazine, and I thought it was a really cool camera. Growing Artists... Keep Growing
Alright, I have just realized something....
Have you, as an artist, found your niche? And do you really want to get stuck there?
When perusing deviantart I find I like the "growing artists" works more. Why? Experimentation. I find that in many people's galleries, if the artist is published or making money off of their art: one piece looks very similar to the next. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing everyone's art if you have a method.... but once you develop a set style and stop changing.... your art no longer interests me. I feel like I'm looking at the same thing over and over. I think it is important for artists to try new things
